Lush Learning | Fun Palaces with Stella Duffy
“Given the opportunity to come together around things they care about, people are astonishing. We talk always about the brilliance of people, and shining a light on the brilliance of people.” Stella Duffy Stella Duffy is an improviser, award-winning writer, theatremaker and the co-director of the Fun Palaces campaign for cultural democracy; an annual weekend of ‘actions' every October. A Fun Palace is about local ownership... a stepping stone for more creative thinking and getting stuff done - and Fun Palaces are free, local events, led by the local community for the local community: a combination of arts, science, heritage and sports. Lush’s Andrew Paine met with Stella to talk about how these events have sparked tiny revolutions and how creativity in community can change the world for the better.
