Origins | May Miles Thomas

Where it began... how it evolved... where it's at! Origins... the programme that asks musicians, film makers, artists & creators, where and how it all began... their creative process, the art and music that inspired them and why they continue to make and create the work that they do. In this episode, Andrew Paine meets Scottish film maker and screenwriter... May Miles Thomas. Having founded the production company, Elemental Films in 1995, May has worked as a writer and director of feature films, including the award winning 'One Life Stand', 'Solid Air', and 'The Devil's Plantation'. In 2017, she released 'Voyageuse', a film based on the life of her late mother-in-law, Erica Thomas, starring Dame Sian Phillips. May recently received the 'Discovery Award' at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA). For further information on May, go to elementalfilms.eu or twitter @maymilesthomas
